 Baseless allegations

(i)

Dear Editor,

Through your esteemed daily newspaper, I would like to focus a few lines regarding statement given by one Tadar Mohan, President Arunachal Teacher Association Kurung Kumey District Unit about Parsi Parlo Secondary school on 26th August 2014 in the Readers Forum.

We as lay men know that ATAKK has been established to work for the welfare of the teachers in the district. Now after reading your letters, we gather that it was form to divide the teachers.

You have given a statement that senior most serving J/T is being deprived which is totally baseless. It was also reflected in your statement that since re-opening of academic session 2014-15, the education system is being hampered because of political motivations which also is not true.

At the same time govt. Secondary school Parsi Parlo is running very smoothly since it’s re-opening.

Further, transfer and posting is mandatory for every government job holders. It is not because of political pressurd and at the instigation of political workers.

Meanwhile, it is was very unfortunate to read that govt. Secondary School Parsi Parlo without officially handing/taking over charge a newly appointed teacher is sitting in the chair as Headmaster. This is totally untrue. The  previous headmaster has already handed over the charge except previous years stipend audit.

The statement given by the president is totally fabricated and baseless.

Yours,

Bamang Pacho,

Vill  Langband

Parsi Parlo

Dear Editor,

Through your daily, we would like to draw the attention of some section of people working under the banner of Arunachal Teachers Association (ATA) Kurung-Kumey Unit for making a provocative statement that appeared on 26th August edition of Readers Forum against section of legislators.

The President ATA,K/Kumey Unit vehemently condemned against recent transfer and posting of Teachers and termed it as root causes of ugly trend in  some schools in the district.

The President ATA K/K Unit needs to know all the facts that have happened to some schools if he is desirous of tackling all the unavoidable situations prevailing at Parsi-Parlo Secondary School.

The schools were vandalised by the goons in recent past. There is corruption as SSA fund meant for Girls & boys toilet were siphoned off through forged bill. There are no sufficient regular teachers in all the Schools. Many teachers have been absenting themselves for a long time. Transfer and posting of govt, servant is a part of govt policy.

No authority or power have been delegated to Panchyati Raj institutions for transfer & posting of teaching staffs by the Govt, but they have been invited to take part in the internal management of respective Schools through School Management Committee (SMC).

We request him to stop going to the local media for cheap publicity.

We also earnestly request DDSE Kurung-Kumey to ensure that all the recently transferred teaching staffs have joined their respective place of posting for smooth functioning of academic session.

The respective BRC and CRC are also requested to ensure that attendance statements of teachers are sent from their respective school to DDSE Office for preparation of Monthly Salary.

We also earnestly request the Central Executive Committee ATA to instruct their Units to refrain from levelling any sort of allegation.

An area without roads

Dear Editor,

I would like to ventilate our utter disappointment at what we had been observing since many years. The Gohpur Tinali to Jote-Poma road is one of the most neglected roads which had ever been seen. The road is a lifeline and main channel for communication and transportation for the people of this region. The area which is in stone throw distance from the state capital is still lacking in many things due to absence of good road.

NIT, Law College and State Tourist hubs have been blooming at Jote- Poma area but there are no good roads.

We are grateful to Arunachal Times, who have always been flashing out real pictures of deplorable road condition of the Gohpur-Tinali to Ganga Lake but the PWD authority is in deep slumber. The main cause of the landslide along the road from Gohpur to Ganga lake is rampant earth cutting.

Therefore, in this regard, a resolution was adopted on 9th Nov 2014 in Gram Sabha meeting which was held at Batt village under GPM Batt segment for the immediate ban on earth cutting and declaration of Green Belt on both the sides of the road.

It was also decided to keep space for extension of road, avenue-plantation and to avoid land encroachment among others. The decisions were submitted to DC-Capital Complex for declaration of ban order but the slow phase of file processing in the DC office have caused delay. We are still awaiting proper conclusion from Administration pertaining to above matter.

Lastly, we fervently appeal DC Capital to adopt fast track file movements in the office for the greater interest of the people.

Yours,

Kara Topu

Gram Panchayat Member

Bring roads

Dear Editor,

Through your esteem daily, I wish to highlight the future vision for Pangi-Sisen-Pongging area. This area is naturally very beautiful having attractive landscape surrounded by lofty mountain in one side and Siang River on the other. Green Vegetation, myriad streams, extensive terraced paddy field sloping down toward Siang River adds more beauty to this area, besides, high productivity.

Once, this was most visited place in pre-independent period. This area is actually around 25-30 Kms away from Pasighat. If road could be constructed via Bodak, it would be one of the best place in the Siang belt. Government employees, who are presently reluctant to serve here, would scramble for getting posted in this area. One could reach here within half an hour from Pasighat. Road in the right bank remains blocked for couple of days during rainy season and communication is cut off between Pasighat and Upper belt of East Siang and Upper Siang Distt. In this hard situation, road to Pasighat via Pangi-Sisen-Pongging, would be helpful to government as well as common people. Thus, I would like to draw the government’s attention to expedite a plan soon.

Yours,

Irshen Tagi,

Vivek Vihar,

Itanagar

Maintain the friendly spirit

The Arunachal-Assam inter-state boundary meeting held recently at Biswanath Charali witnessed attendance of deputy commissioners and superintendent of police of Udalguri, Sonitpur, West Kameng, East Kameng and Papum Pare districts. Meeting was held following the directives of the Union Home Ministry to maintain status-quo, peace and tranquility in boundary areas. The main agenda of discussion were to uphold present status in the  Assam-Arunachal boundary areas,  conduct joint patrolling by Assam and Arunachal Magistrates and Police in the  boundary areas, restrain eviction drive in alleged reserve forests till Supreme Court verdict and Boundary Commission report comes, sharing of inter-state insurgency problem and intelligence sharing.

This meeting was held in the backdrop of recent violent clash along Nagaland-Assam border at Goalpara district. Government of India had to intervene to ease the tension between two states. This year in the month of January boundary clashes at Tarasso near Assam-Arunachal boundary lead to death of many citizens. Since then uneasy calm is prevailing on the boundary area. Off late report of boundary skirmish has also been reported from West Siang district and Dullungmukh area. Therefore in this context it is great to know that after elaborate discussion, DCs present in the meeting both from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh reiterated their commitment to maintain peace and tranquility in the boundary areas involving local people from both sides of the states. This spirit should be maintained till the final report of local boundary commission comes into effect.
